Day after Thanksgiving tradition is to put the Christmas tree up. The kids really enjoy taking turns putting up ornaments that we've collected over the years. Jesse had a lot of fun hanging them too!

Today we drove up to New Smyrna to Nana and Papa's house. Uncle Justin came and Nana picked up Grandma Edgemon to join us. It was nice to see Nana and Papa's house again. They have been in it for a year now. We brought Sweet Potato, Corn, and Green Bean Casseroles and Nana had made Turkey, Gravy, Stuffing, and Mashed Potatoes. The food was awesome and we had a great time! For dessert we got to have cherry and pumpkin pie...yum! This was Jesse's first time seeing Nana and Papa's house and second time meeting them. The kids all had fun riding their rip sticks and skateboards in front of their house.

Ashlyn's class was having an Indian day in school on November 26, so I spent the whole weekend sewing this dress to make it look as much like a tear dress as my non-sewing capable hands could. Her tribe was the Cherokee tribe and she had to dress like a Cherokee Indian, make a recipe from their tribe (Cherokee Bean Bread), and she made a game (Bean Dice Game). She also wrote a paper about the Cherokee Indians. The teacher told us that she was so excited about the dress.

It was exactly four years to the day that we finally got to hold our sweet Ashlyn! To celebrate, we went to lunch at Red Ginger that just opened in the mall. It's the restaurant that we usually go to for the Chinese New Year. They had a huge lunch menu to choose from with reasonable prices. It was really good. We had to do lunch because she was going to a friend's house that night for a birthday/sleepover. Wai-gong, Wai-po, and Mamaw joined us for this special luncheon, although we didn't get pictures of them...I think Jason has been slacking on the picture taking!

The kids had a swim banquet held for them and we got a big Italian homemade dinner and lots of desserts. They played a nice video that was made for them after dinner and then they were each called up to get their swim medals. It was a very nice banquet! The kids had a lot of fun seeing themselves on the big screen. They are looking forward to swim next year. Ashlyn will miss her new found friend Annie who is moving back to Georgia.

Today was Grandparent/Pastor Day at CCS. Pastor TJ came to see the kids as well as Wai-po, Mamaw Hannan, Mamaw Justice, and Wai-gong. The kids performed by singing songs, doing a skit, and performing a dance. Everyone said they did such a great job! Mamaw Hannan took pictures and video with her phone and Samsung Tablet, so I was able to see some of it.

CCS had their family fellowship picnic and silent auction. We won a few things on the silent auction that were neat and helped the school raise money. We brought KFC, and it was yummy! It's been a long time since we've eaten that. Kaylyn rode her ripstick and Jesse threw the football around while Ashlyn hung out. They all had fun playing with their friends. It was a nice time!
