Kaylyn's Timeline

Kaylyn has grown so much over the last 9+ years and since I did a timeline on Ashlyn, I'd like to share a timeline on Kaylyn.  She was my frozen embryo that survived the de-thawing process and made it through the in-vitro.  She was our miracle baby!

5 minutes after Kaylyn was born on July 31, 2002 (3 weeks early)

First day home on August 2, 2002

Kaylyn we are so proud of who you are becoming.  Don't grow up too fast and stay innocent for as long as you can!  We love you Kaylyn!

Ashlyn's Timeline

Amazing at how much Ashlyn's grown in just over two years.  Here's a small timeline of her over the last 3 years:
Ashlyn's Finding Ad when she was ~ 3 months old

Ashlyn's File Picture taken sometime in October 2008

This was a picture from Gotcha Day November 23, 2009

This is from her first birthday with us, turning 7 on February 18, 2010

This is a picture from her 8th birthday on February 18, 2011

And this is from her recent birthday, turning 9 on February 18, 2012
She has grown over 7 inches in the last two years and gained over 20 lbs.  She went from having no gross motor skills, nor had she ever gone to school, to catching up to 1st grade level by the next school year.  She has grown not only physically, but mentally by leaps and bounds.  Her speech has improved tremendously since starting speech therapy for her submucous cleft palate.  She has done amazing with every surgery she's had to endure since being with us.  It has been amazing to watch this little girl go through everything she has gone through and still have such a joy about her.  She touches everyone's heart she comes in contact with and she has blessed our family abundantly.  Ashlyn we love you very much and are very proud of you!

Finished 2011 Family Album

I finished our 2011 Family Album.  It of course is minus a few Disney trips that we took since this went into a Disney Album, but nonetheless, it was still 100 pages long!

March 25, 2012 GEMS Chili Cook Off

GEMS held a chili cook off fundraiser yesterday at the old Rodes Park.  We had a lot of people show up, even Wai-gong.  The girls did a good job and mommy got to make a crock pot of chili to try.  I made a non-traditional chili called chicken hominy chili.  It was pretty good, but did not win.  They also sold cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries from Melting Pot, drinks, and even TUMS.  It will be interesting to see how much money was raised...hopefully enough for a good chunk to go towards their camping trip.

March 23, 2012 Father Daughter Dance

Friday night, daddy took the girls to a Father Daughter dance at the Crowne Plaza Hotel that was sponsored by our church.  They played Christian music this year and the photographer printed the pictures at the place so you got to take them with you.  The pictures below are not too good since they were taken with my underwater camera, but it was all Jason had with him.  They looked like they had a ball with their friends and their daddy!
