February 2, 2013 - Kaylyn's 3rd Basketball Game & Fort Wilderness

Kaylyn's 3rd basketball was today.  They won like 16-8.  Kaylyn scored another basket and we got it on video.  I just need to download the video, so hopefully I can do that this weekend.  After her basketball game, we headed over to Fort Wilderness Campground to spend the rest of the day/evening with my boss and his wife at their R.V.  We went to the dog park with their dog Abby and then ate a nice grilled dinner that Bryan cooked up.  Then we went over to Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Singalong and made some s'mores.  After this, we took the golf cart down to the beach to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.  It was an awesome day!

Kaylyn's Birthday Weekend at Disney

For Kaylyn's birthday party with friends, we decided to let her invite two of her friends to Disney for two days.  It was hard to choose two people since she has so many friends, so she chose two that did not or no longer have passes to Disney, so that they may enjoy it with her.  We headed over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the day and night.  We ate lunch right after checking in and then we started doing the kids activities the rest of the day.  We did the Animal Enrichment at 1:00 which was making a hay and mulch tray of food for the animals, we did the Wildlife Games at 2:00, we did the Bio Blocks at 2:45, and then we swam for about a half hour before a storm came in.  We did the Music of the Savannah at 5:15 and then we did the Have You Heard game at 6:15.  All of these activities had the kids earn a bead each and after five beads you get a stretch bead, so they got six beads on their strings.  They were very excited about this.  Shelby ended up losing hers and a worker gave her his entire strand of nine beads...everyone was jealous :-)  After all the activities, we ate dinner at Sanaa which was pretty flavorful and yummy.  We headed back to the room after all the excitement where Kaylyn opened her presents and then we headed off to dreamland.

This was outside our hotel balcony!

We woke up at 7:00 am the next morning to try and make it to Magic Kingdom by 9:00.  After getting dressed, eating breakfast, driving down there, and getting on the Monorail, we got there at about 9:30 am.  Not too bad of timing!  The lines weren't that bad the entire day and it only drizzled some which felt good in the heat.  It was like standing under the cooling stations constantly for about an hour.
