December 8, 2012 - GEMS in the Melbourne Parade of Lights

The GEMS girls were in the Melbourne Parade of Lights again this year!  Jason and I got to be in the parade with the girls again, and it is so fun!  I saw so many people watching the parade that we knew, it was really cool.  It did not rain this year and everything seemed to go really smooth, so we were very blessed.

December 7, 2012 - End of the Year Choir Party

The kids choir at Calvary Chapel had their first full dress rehearsal and then afterwards had their end of the year choir party.  There was so much food and the kids had a lot of fun, especially with the gift exchange.  At the end of the party, the choir teachers were given their gift and they were so surprised and excited!  They got certificates to go to the spa!

December 6, 2012 - NGC's Christmas Party

We had our work Christmas party at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club this year.  It was heavy o'devours and cash bar.  A lot of the Connect1NG people went and a lot of the management went.  It was a lot of fun!

Notice the green stuff in my teeth that nobody told me about during pictures!

December 4, 2012 - CCA Christmas Program

So, here it is again...CCA's Christmas Program.  Ashlyn's classes (3rd grade) sang "Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child" and then they used the recorders to do the song "The Gift of Gab."  They were so cute, and you could hear Ashlyn singing most of the time, especially at the end.

Kaylyn's classes (5th grade) did sign language to the song "Mary Did You Know" and then they played the song "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" using the Orffs (it's kind of like a large xylophone).  They did really well!

Afterwards, they had cookies and milk for everyone.  I baked all the cookies that I purchased from another child's school fundraiser and donated them to the occasion.  The cookies were really good.  Someone had made these Chocolate mint cookies, and boy, I need the recipe for them things!  We did video of the girls music, so video will follow when I get a chance to download the video.  We also took our traditional pictures in the commons in front of the tree, next to the toy soldier.

December 1, 2012 - Osborne Spectacle of Lights

Kaylyn spent her morning with her teachers Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Rogers at Barnes & Noble having discussions and hot chocolate about their favorite books.  Then Mrs. Watson bought her an American Girl book and then they headed over to Steak n' Shake where they had a milk shake.  While she was doing that, I took Ashlyn to the mall and bought some angel tree presents.  Then we went to see Mrs. Kim and got Ashlyn's hair trimmed up (3 inches shorter) to get it looking healthier since we can wash it again each night!

After all that, we came home and had a quick bite for lunch and then headed out to Hollywood Studios to meet our good friends Sundi & Eric.  We did a couple of rides, ate dinner, and walked down the back to see the Osborne Spectacle of Christmas Lights.  It was a nice night and the lights were beautiful.  It was a fun time spent with good friends!  Pictures were compliments of Sundi since we forgot our camera.
