I'm happy to say that we did do our walk through today. It took 3 hours! Not much left to do and the superintendent said he was going to try to C/O this Friday as long as he was allowed to continue to work on the punch list. Since we aren't closing on our current house until May 30th, that will give plenty of time to move in and fix some of the stuff up. We are getting stone put on the front of our house separate from the builder, but before we move in. Our stone is supposed to be delivered this Friday, but it was supposed to be delivered last Friday, so we'll see. Once the stone is up on the front of the house, I think the house will pretty much be completed.
All I can say is that everything seems to be falling into place and I can definitely see God's work in it all. We were supposed to be in our house before Valentine's Day, but because the builder delayed on some things, it took a few months longer. But because of the delay, our house went up on the market at the perfect time and sold rather quickly for pretty close to our asking price. And we are so happy with how our house is turning out! Funny how God's timing is not our timing because God's timing is perfect, even when we can't see it. God is good!
Very true about God's timing. One of our papers was lost at the SF consulate for 6 weeks. If it would have came back when it was suppose to we wouldn't have been matched with our daughter. It was hard to understand why all the delays, but it all makes sense now.
